Hotfix for AS-2, and AS-3 models

Hotfix files will be official released by ASUSTOR in this article occasionally for users who needs these feature.

Caution: System will update flash memory when you upload the hotfix.

Please DO NOT turn off the NAS during this process. After updating successfully, the NAS will reboot automatically.

 

Update on 2013/Oct./11

Hotfix Ver. 0001

This hotfix is designed to update the BIOS version to 0.25/1.0023, which will:

1. Fix the issue with the system powering on when plugging-in the power.

2. Improve the compatibility of Western Digital Red 2~4TB NAS drives (WD20EFRX, WD30EFRX, WD40EFRX)

 

If you do not have an extra drive to do it, you can:

1. Download the attachment "hotfix-cli-0.28.run"

2. Copy the hotfix to the NAS via SFTP (you may need a third party software, username: root password:admin)

3. Install a terminal software (PuTTY), and go the dedicated folder and type: "sh hotfix name"

4. The NAS will reboot, after that you will be able to finish the initialization.
